I'm not ashamed to admit it: I am a virgin blogger.
I got the page set up--thanks for the words of wisdom, Caits. :) But still trying to figure out all of the little extras and aesthetics.
So, at the moment, this is a work in progress. Stick with me and try not to laugh and point too enthusiastically.
I always wonder at the purpose behind some of the blogs floating around the ether, and as a general rule, I don't want to be more technologically connected than I already am, nor do I feel the need to broadcast my personal life to the world at large. But this summer, Eric and I are setting out on an adventure--thru-hiking the AT--and lots of our friends have asked about keeping in touch and following our journey. So part of my challenge involves wading into the wild world of blogging.
We're planning to include lots of photos, updates on our progress and the places we go. Hopefully, we'll be able to touch base with many of our friends and family en route, as well as the new friends we make along the way.
Fair winds and following seas,
B
Yay Betsy! Can't wait to read all about your journey.
ReplyDeleteTravel Blogs are the 21st century equivalent of post-travel cocktail dinners followed by drunken slideshows in the living room.
ReplyDeleteOnly, no annoying guests, no need to worry about film, no need to cook dinner, and your audience can watch in real time. In their underwear.
Thanks, Davis. That's an image that should stick with me for a good long while :).
